She Challenged the Clock

This powerful message confronts one of our deepest struggles: waiting on God's promises when our personal timelines have expired. Through the story of Abraham and Sarah in Genesis 16-18, we discover what happens when we 'challenge the clock' and try to help God fulfill His promises on our schedule. Sarah, after waiting eleven years for the promised child, decided to take matters into her own hands through Hagar, creating thirteen years of drama and complications. Yet the profound truth emerges that God's delays are not denials—they're divine timing working in our favor. The message reveals that sometimes God waits to give us what we desire because we weren't mature enough to handle it earlier. At 75 and 65 respectively, Abraham and Sarah received a promise that wouldn't manifest until they were 100 and 90. This teaches us that we're never too old for God to do something new, and that our limitations become the perfect stage for El Shaddai—God Almighty—to demonstrate His power. The question that pierces through our doubt is the same one God asked Sarah: 'Is there anything too hard for God?' When we stop considering our own weaknesses and get strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, we position ourselves to receive the impossible. Our frustration with delayed promises often stems from grieving our own timeline rather than trusting God's perfect timing.
